AP council to consider Conn Brown decision

ARANSAS PASS - City leaders took no action Friday regarding sale of property or development of Conn Brown Harbor, but the issue appears on the agenda for a Monday meeting.

The council met for about 90 minutes in closed session, after which Mayor Jesus Galvan said there was no action needed.
In February, the council selected Aransas Pass Development Group, under developer Juan Villanueva, to develop the harbor after it presented a $250 million plan that included a marina, hotel, restaurants and condos.
The development is contingent upon the sale or lease of city-owned property to the developers.
The issue is on the agenda for Monday's 7 p.m. meeting, including an executive session and possible action on a proposed contract between the city and the group.
